The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is part of the US Small Business Administration and has been set up to assist small businesses in all aspects of starting and operating a small business.
The SBDC is an organization that offers a variety of services and management training courses that are tailored to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. SBDC Consultants provide managerial assistance to those wishing to start or expand an enterprise and to businesses experiencing difficulties. They have a wealth or resources they can offer to your business.
SBDC Consultants are available to give one-on-one consultation, to analyze business operations, assist in developing business plans, and provide marketing information at no cost.
The SBDC provides all of the following services at no cost, or a nominal cost (in the case of workshops):

We became a cllent of the SBDC soon after starting our business, and have found their workshops informative, and their counseling to be very valuable.
The workshops are also an opportunity to network with 20-30 people who are either in business or comtemplating a business startup. In fact, we have gotten clients through attending SBDC workshops.
