Convert ¼” reel to reel audio tape to CD

Before mp3s and CDs, there were audio cassette tapes. Go back further in time and your music was played from 8 Track tapes. Prior to 8 Track tapes everyone listened to music , voice, etc. using reel to reel audio tape machines. ¼” tape was the consumer standard.

These tape recorder/player units were huge; they generally weighed over 40 lbs. Oh well, they were the best game in town. You recorded and enjoyed your material and ended up with a boxful of tape reels.

Okay, enough history! You have a reel of tape someone gave you, or perhaps a friend recorded your pony league baseball championship during the summer of 1969. Whatever the reason, you now have some ¼” audiotape that isn’t doing you any good.
